The first time I took a photography class as a journalism student at the University of Florida, I was intimidated and nervous. Sticking a camera in strangers’ faces wasn’t my idea of fun. However, I am always up for a challenge, and I was determined not to let photojournalism ruin my 4.0 GPA. So, I pushed myself far outside my comfort zone.
And 17 years after I earned that A in photojournalism, here I am. An associate professor of journalism and communication who regularly teaches multimedia production. Over the years, I have honed my photography skills by chasing my four children. If you would like to cherish photos that capture your child’s giggling face or your athlete’s talented skills, please reach out. I would also love to capture your family portraits–portraits that you’ll look back upon in the coming years and feel your heart swell with love at how much everyone has grown.
