Presentations

I have created and delivered hundreds of presentations to both students and general audiences. I am a fan of active learning, so I am familiar with tools like Kahoot, Quizlet, and PollEverywhere. Below are a few videos from my courses (Science Communication, Quantitative Research Methods, Political Communication, and Multimedia Production) that demonstate my presence and knowledge. After each video are PowerPoint slides for download.

Additionally, I have made in-person public presentations focused on misinformation, science communication, and more.

Science Communication

This course addresses science, the environment, and health in the context of media (journalism, entertainment, public communication campaigns) and interpersonal communication (see the course summary). Below are a few videos that address these issues.

Quantitative Research Methods

I have taught quantitative research methods at the graduate level. Below are some lecture videos that address experimental design and inferential statistics.

Political Communication

Below are a few examples of my video lectures in political communication (see the course summary). I have presented this information and research to many in-person audiences in Wyoming in my prior position. The first two videos deal with misinformation and the third video addresses emotion, tone policing, and challenging conversations.

Multimedia Production

WordPress web design, online newswriting, photojournalism, audio storytelling, social media management, graphic design, Google maps, and video production are covered in this fast-paced course that equips communication and journalism majors with a diverse set of skills. Below are a few videos. You can view an overview of the class here.

Public Presentations

I was invited by a local science communication initiative in Laramie, Wyoming, to present a brief 15-minute lecture on my expertise in the psychology of misinformation. Below are two images that were printed in large-scale poster board and presented to a public audience.
